There are many women out there who love British actor Richard Armitage with long lion's mane hair. I think he looks fabulous with longer hair too. However, I much more prefer Mr. Armitage with very short hair and very clean shaven face. In my humble opinion Richard's gorgeous face should be exposed at all times.
I sure hope that when Richard Armitage is finished filming The Hobbit that this fine British actor heads to the nearest barbershop for a shave and hair cut.

The above is an earlier version of Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. As filming continued you can see a change is his appearance. His look turned out to be a bit soft than originally planned, but he looks great with the wig.
The above photo is one of the final official photos of Richard Armitage as Thorin in The Hobbit. Hands down Richard looks handsome as ever. As much as I enjoy ogling this picture I still prefer Richard Armitage with a close cropped hair do and very clean shaven face.
I love and much prefer the clean shaven and short hair cut of Richard Armitage when he portrayed Lucas North. His gorgeous face should never be hidden.

I'm so glad they softened Thorin a little, the first photos that were released were too Klingon for my liking!
I didn't care much for the first photo releases either. Many Richard Armitage fans were drooling over them though just because it is Richard Armitage. I can't say that I blame them. :-)
