Oscar-Claude Monet
I love art and Impressionist art is one of my all time favorites. I am a huge fan of French Impressionist art. There are many French impressionist artist that I love but I will begin with the founder of French Impressionism Claude Monet.
Monet was born Oscar-Claude Monet on November 14 1840 in the 9th Arrondissement, Paris, France. His parents were Claude Adolphe Monet and Louise Justine Aubree.
Monet was not really interested in copying other artists. He preferred to paint what he saw in front of him exactly as he saw it. Nature provided much inspiration for Monet.

Monet's garden at Giverney was inspiration for many of his paintings. My understanding is that Monet worked to make his garden flourish. If I lived surrounded by such lushness I would be tempted to paint it too. I am trying to make my garden look just as lush with the limited space that I have.
