Well, Xenia has decided to take the plunge and get a DSLR camera. I never thought I would do it, but since I have become a serious blogger I really want to be able to take a lot of my own photographs. I have a really good digital camera by Olympus that does take pretty decent pictures, but I want to take better pictures. I want my photos to be sharper and clearer. I want colors to jump out at me when I look at my photos.
The photos here represents the camera that I ordered from Amazon. It wasn't too expensive as DSLR cameras go. Since it is my first DSLR camera I didn't want to spend a ton of money. I purchased the EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm IS II Lens and EOS HD Movie Mode by Canon. Amazon had the best price on it as far as I could tell doing my research. As I learn how to use this camera I can add other accessories such as lenses. This camera is highly recommended for those making the switch to DSLR for the first time.
In March I am taking a one day class on basic photography for bloggers. The class does offer each student the use of a DSLR camera if you need to borrow one, but it is better to come with your own. I want to learn on a camera that I already own. I am very excited about the class. I am not looking to make photography a second career, but I am a creative person so sharpening my photography skills is right up my alley. I know that I will have a lot of fun with it; especially during the warmer seasons.
