Sugar'n Cream Cotton Yarn

I was in Hobby Lobby on Thursday browsing around after a job interview.  I eventually worked my way to the section stocked with yarn.  I noticed some big cones of yarn by Sugar'n Cream.  I had never heard of this brand before.  I loved the huge size of the cones of yarn and I was pleased that it is 100% cotton.  The cone of yarn was $12.99 but it was pretty big and I did want to try it out.

I love it!  The yarn is sturdier and better quality than what I am used to getting and working with.  It is absolutely worth paying a little more money for quality.  I am definitely going back to Hobby Lobby to get more of this fabulous yarn.

Altered Rolodex Art Journal

Who would have ever thought to do this with a rolodex?  Is this not amazing and pretty?  I love this.  Visit Patty Van Dorin for instructions.  I have not used a roldex in ages.  I wonder if I still have my one rolodex that I purchased about a dozen or more years ago.

Online Art Journal Classes

If you are looking for online classes on how to make your own art journal book check out Dispatch From LA.   I think that you get a lot for the price.

In the class you will earn how to bound books.

Using old worn out books to make an art journal is a grand idea.

White Cherry Blossom Tree Painting

One of the things that I absolutely love about looking at other people's blogs is the huge amount of inspiration that I get from them.  Just this morning I came upon a blog named Crafts By Amanda and saw this painting of a white cherry blossom tree that she made for her daughter.  First of all, I love cherry blossom trees.  I have two pink cherry blossom trees in front of my house.  I am always drawn to photos and paintings of these beautiful trees.
