Loving My New Apple iPhone

Yesterday I came home with a brand new Apple iPhone from the local cell phone store.  For me that is incredible because I am so anti Apple products.  It is not because I don't like the products.  I just got so tired of people bragging about how superior Apple is and being almost snobbish about it, so I went on a sort of strike to never purchase anything by Apple.  I know that is silly, but never the less how I feel.  I love my HP Pavilion laptop and my HP Pavilion all in one desktop PC.  Apple products are also way over the top expensive.  I don't care how good the products are they are too expensive.  It seems to me that you are paying for the name more than the product itself.

I actually wanted a Galaxy III, but the cost was way more than the iPhone with a new 2 year cell phone contract.  That is how I ended up becoming an owner of an Apple iPhone.  I saved $300.00 by choosing the iPhone instead with the 2 year plan.  I got it in white and I also purchased a nice pink case to keep it in.

It has been a little more than 24 hours since I became an iPhone owner.  I must admit that I love it.  The Galaxy III has a touch screen that is more sensitive and responsive than the iPhone, but it is not as if my cell phone is going to be used all day long.  I still have a land line phone that I refuse to give up.  I am also not addicted to my cell phone as many people seem to be.

I am a little nervous now though.  Since I now have an iPhone will I eventually want an iPad too?  Pray that I don't go out and buy an iPad.  I don't want to become a Mac snob.

I know people who gave up their iPhone for a Galaxy.  Both phones are really good, so either way I was getting a great product.

Not Apple or M$ fans here, we're a Linux/Free and Open Source Software household :) Visually though, Apple products are quite stunning!

I'm on the look out for a new phone eventually. I just have a flip phone with a numeric key pad--no net no text, probably a good thing for me. But I feel like I am in the "stone age" technologically sometimes when my nieces and nephews start their thumbs a texting. Giggles!

Hi Xenia,

It's definitely a slippery slope from here! I used to be a die-hard PC fan and then I got my first mac around 2 years ago, and I've never looked back since. Apple products really are amazing!

In 2011 when I was looking for another laptop I almost bought a macbook, but the prices I could not justify. I also asked the people in the IT department at my job for their opinion on the mac versus the PC. I was told that PC has caught up with mac in many ways. Besides price and what the IT guys told me I had to consider that mac dos not work with many software products and applications. I didn't want to be limited in that way. I ended up buying an HP Pavilion widescreen laptop for a fraction of what I would have paid for a mac version of it. I also just purchased an all in one desktop flatscreen PC that is an HP Pavilion and I love it. The price was very affordable. I also have a Kindle Fire which I love. If I ever decide to get a tablet I will get an iPad though.

All this time I had a basic phone too. No internet and no text. My phone was even a prepaid one. I finally decided it was time for me to upgrade to a better phone that is touchscreen, learn to text and get a cell phone plan.

My only complaint with Apple are the prices. I don't care how good the products are they are ripping people off. You are paying for a brand more than anything else.

I really like Windows 8.
