At Home in France is a real story about a single woman (Anne Barry) living in New York City who purchases an old house in France. Anne does not make France her primary residence but instead visits the country several times each year. The fact that the authors buys a house in France as a single woman is very inspiring. My favorite travel essays are by single women. This was a fun read.
